5 Best States for Nursing Jobs

According to Nursinglink.com & Careervoayges.gov, Florida is one of five best states to find work as a nurse! Unfortunately due to our shortage of qualified nurses & lack of education programs we are in high demand! To attract the best candidates, relocation & sign-on monies are paid generously at HCA West Florida! Good news for beach lovers: our coastline is over 1,197 miles long & we offer 663 miles of beaches! Golfers have plenty of courses to choose from – or a lot of matches to play! Families will be enticed by their choices of family friendly activities & communities. To learn more about the state of Florida & RN licensure process, visit http://www.myflorida.com/!

Few PCU Training Slots left @ Englewood!

We’ve got approx. 7 slots left for med/surg RNs to train in the PCU (tele) at our Englewood Community Hospital in Englewood, Florida. Englewood is located in Sarasota/Charlotte County & the facility is only minutes away from the beach! You’ll notice the warm family-like atmosphere in our 100-bed hospital right away! Since 1985 this Hospital has been serving its Gulf Coast community & proudly has been recognized as a Solucient Top 100 Hospital for Overall Care, Stroke & Orthopedics. Furthermore, its the first hospital in this area to have received full accreditation as a chest pain center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC). I’d like to hear from you med/surg RNs living nearby or planing on relocating to the state of Florida with an interest in PCU.

Cheers,
Julie

Rainy days in Florida

Today, unlike my previous posts, I’ve decided to write a more personal one… It seems like a typical summer in Florida with lots of never-ending afternoon showers thus far. However, the news around the controversial topic of recession is getting more & more attention, I hope. Florida supposed to be one mayor state which is affected by the numerous house foreclosures (ranking 2nd in the nation), the leader in mortgage fraud & ranking last in High School graduations! In addition we also battle insurance, water & environmental issues according to Time Magazine!

Some would say that’s enough to change their minds regarding possible relocation plans. But behold! It is not the first time Florida has struggled to regain its Magic! Our award-winning beautiful white-sandy beaches have left zillions of kids & adults with dreamy memories, snorkelers from all over the world have been stunned by North America’s only living coral barrier reef in the Keys & of course the temperatures will always cheer golfers around the globe in anticipation of their next possible game of their life!

In deep compassion for my back yard, I am hopeful we’ll regain our strength & will attract more tourists, retirees, companies & college students to come visit, play and stay in our beautiful sunshine no-income-tax state! Hopefully we are ready to learn from our mistakes & will become the South’s green leader with Governor Charlie Crist’s plans around renewable and alternative energies, solar and wind energy.

For now I say thanks for reading, but come & visit to witness for yourself & if you are a healthcare professional, email me regarding job opportunities!

Cheers,
Julie
