I recently reached my 10 year anniversary with HCA. Oh my, time flies when you’re having fun! I took a trip back down memory lane when I moved to the Kissimmee area 12 years ago. It was a little bit of a culture shock. We lived on a dirt road. We did not worry about locking the front door to our house or the car doors if they were parked on the driveway. The neighbors all knew each other and we knew which child belonged to which house on our street. Here’s a good one, at the time you could drive to the mall, walk around all of the stores there and be back at home in less than one hour.
As the years passed, I have witnesses so many changes within the community. Shopping centers, restaurants, coffee hang-outs and a single two-lane street becoming a major four-lane highway. Downtown Kissimmee now has condominiums and new restaurants. Main Street is filled with people on the weekends.
One of the greatest changes I’ve seen is the renovation of Osceola Regional Medical Center. What was once a one-story hospital has grown into a four-story (soon to be five-story) facility. Osceola Regional Medical Center offers so many healthcare services to our growing community.
From cuts and bruises to refurbishing hearts, Osceola Regional Medical Center is one of the leading healthcare providers in Osceola County. A lot is happening at this facility such as the upcoming Pediatric ER, Hybrid OR and more. So watch out for my next blog regarding the exciting happenings at Osceola Regional Medical Center.
For now, I am proud to say that it’s a great feeling to be a part of the HCA organization, which makes such a difference in the community that I live and work in.
Good Job! Dina
Great article Radina!!Congrats on the 10 years!!!
Great comments and true. So much has changed dramatically even since I began working at Disney in the 90’s. Good to see ORMC and HCA are keeping pace with the times!
