Tweet-le Dee and Tweet-le Dum (not about Johnny Depp’s performance in Alice in Wonderland)

In an attempt at social media irony, I have decided to Blog about Tweeting.  I really know very little (nothing) about Twitter.  One of the advantages to blogging is you do not need to know anything about the subject.  Maybe you don’t even need to know anything about any subject.

I surmise the term twitter comes from the base word, “Twit”:  a silly annoying person (Merriam Webster).   I find it hard to understand why anyone cares if Taylor Swift is feeling lonely today.  She is attractive, talented and earned more money yesterday than you will earn in your life.  Go do something to make your life better. 

If you are a Tweeter or is it a Twitterer, either way someone who participates in tweeting; you do realize that the ‘celebs’ have hired someone like you to walk 10 paces behind them and tweet while the ‘celebs’ are enjoying life.  Go outside, take a walk (there are actually still birds tweeting), trim your unibrow, blow spit bubbles, or actually speak to a person. 

I do think twitter could be good to mobilize your friends and their friends if you have lost your dog.  I have decided to join Craig Ferguson’s Robot Skeleton Army (Twitter followers). 

But remember:  a day at the ballpark beats a week of video games; charcoal beats gas; and a friendly, “Hello” and a smile beats a Tweet.
